Frequently Answered Questions

What technique and tools are used to create Anaya Arts designs?

All original designs are hand drawn by Fiona, the artist. Then the drawings are digitally traced for mass distribution and production purposes. The originals are not for sale, but design services are available (for logos or commissions).

But what if I want an original Anaya Arts design?

For commission based artwork, please send an email to info@anayaarts.ca to further discuss your vision. The commissioned art would be for personal use (one time use). This will be outlined and explained in the contract.

What if I want a logo for my business?

For logos, please send an email to info@anayaarts.ca to further discuss your vision. The logo would be for business purposes (multiple use). This will be outlined and explained in the contract.

Where do your products ship from?

This depends on the product itself. Wall art, greeting cards, t-shirts and most of the hoodies/crewnecks are shipped from Canada.

All accessories are shipped from the US.

If a product will be shipped from Europe, this will be specifically noted on the product page so that you can plan your purchase accordingly.

Therefore, please note that if your order includes each of these items, some may be packaged and shipped separately and thus arriving separately.

Processing and fulfillment (before shipping) takes about 3-7 business days. Shipping will vary depending on the fulfillment location AND the delivery destination. So please plan your order(s) accordingly.

My DHL tracker said "delivered", but I still haven't received my order?

Some products (i.e. mug, fanny pack & tote bag) ship from the US via DHL. Once DHL delivers it to the local distribution center, Canada Post takes over.

Unfortunately, Canada Post doesn't post its status when they pick it up from DHL.

Why does my garment have a smell?

Sometimes, there might be a vinegar-like smell or an off-white residue on certain garments. Do not worry, this is normal. The printing method used on apparel is direct-to-garment (DTG) printing, which applies a fixation agent during the printing process. It is NOT permanent.

The solution is simply to wash the garment, as you should with any new clothing bought anywhere. Important to refer to the wash and care instructions below.

How do I wash my garments?
Printed garments can be machine-washed cold, inside-out on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent and like colours. Use non-chlorine bleach only when necessary. You should not use any fabric softeners, or dry-clean the items.
Tumble dry on a low cycle, but hanging to dry works best. When it comes to ironing, use cool iron inside-out. Do NOT iron the print.
**Please note that high-temperature washes can fade and crack the print. And high-temperature dryer settings can shrink the garment, as well as damage the print.
Slight shedding of inner fleece may occur after first wash.
Keep in mind that the original manufacturer's care instructions don't take into consideration the DTG printing process and the print work, just the garment itself.
What is AOP?

AOP is all-over printing, which is used on some of the crewnecks (AOP will be noted in the product description). They have a slightly different fabric so while they can be machine-washed cold with like colours without bleach and ironed on low heat, they cannot be tumble-dried or dry-cleaned.

How do I wash my tote bags?
Tote bags can be machine-washed without bleach on cold cycle. After washing, they can be tumble-dried on low heat. They can't be ironed, or dry-cleaned.

What is the difference between fulfillment (production) time and shipping time?

Fulfillment (production) time is the time it takes to make your custom-ordered product. We do not keep inventory so every item is made-to-order. Fulfillment takes about 5-7 business days.

Product fulfillment time is independent of shipping time.

How do I wash my magic mugs?

Magic mugs should only be hand-washed, and you cannot be put in the microwave. Note that the black matte is also prone to scratches, so be extra careful when washing with a dish scrubber. Be gentle.
